General Description |
Lohardagga district came into existence after Ranchi was split into three districts -- Ranchi, Lohardagga and Gumla. Lohardagga is the only town. There are 354 villages in the district. Most of the villages except those in the hilly pockets are connected by road. Out of 354 villages only 25 have electricity. The inhabitants of this district depend on agriculture, forest produce and seasonal migration to different parts of the country. |
