General Description |
Godda was part of the undivided Santhal Parganas district till 1981. Godda district at present comprises eight blocks: Meherma, Mahagama, Boarijar, Patargama, Godda, Sundurpahari, Pareyahat and Thukur Gangati. Godda is the only town in the district. There are 2311 villages in the district. Paddy, wheat and maize are the main crops, while vegetables, linseed, khesari are also grown. Godda has no rail link. |
