General Description |
The district of Sahibganj has a predominantly tribal population and is a part of Santhal Pargana division. A large part of the district is hilly. There are nine blocks in the district, and 1841 villages. The extensive bed of the Ganges at Sahibganj and Rajmahal is one of the best spots in the state for collection of fish spawn and fishing. The Rajmahal hills are a major source for building and road stones. |
